The history of the Bacardi company started when Facundo Bacardi Masso was born in a Spanish town of Sitges (Catalonia) in October 1814. In the 1820s his older brothers moved to a port city Santiago de Janeiro, trying to escape from the recession and yellow fever, and became successful merchants in the new area. In 1930 they were joined by their brother Facundo, who was just 15 then, and by 1938 he’d saved enough money to open his own wine trade company.

On March 1, Pernod Ricard has announced the winners of its art contest featuring Pernod Aux Plantes d’Absinthe Superieure brand. The grand prize reflects the year when Pernod Fils was founded, 1805. The creator of the work, which took the first place, is to receive $1805, and the three runner-ups are to be awarded with $500 and $250 (two artists) correspondingly.
Doritos create the most large-scale augmented reality project ever seen. The Brazil department of the brand is celebrating the success of the Sweet Chili campaign, which has been joined by more than 250 000 consumers. The tagline of the project is “Release your Doritos Lover”, and with a CuboCC augmented reality the brand decided to show how huge this lover might be.
