The Kraft Foods Foundation announced it will donate $50,000 to the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies. The funds will directly support recovery efforts of the Chilean Red Cross.
“The Kraft Foods team is profoundly saddened by the disaster that struck Chile this past weekend,” said Nicole Robinson, Vice President, Kraft Foods Foundation. “We believe the work that the Red Cross and other organizations are doing in partnership with companies like Kraft Foods will bring some comfort and needed supplies to the families touched by this tragedy.”
Since 2000, Kraft Foods has contributed more than $11 million in cash and products for humanitarian aid to different locations worldwide. Over the last five years, Kraft Foods has donated more than $100 million in cash and $300 million worth of food to hunger relief and healthy lifestyle projects around the world.
