The Design Week Awards team has announced a brand new judging panel for its 2012 competition, including industry experts from across the design industry such as: Simon Manchipp, Founder of SomeOne, Stuart Wood, Executive Creative Director at FITCH and Jeremy Leslie, Creative Director at magCulture.

Complete results of the 2011 Europe’s Premier Creative Awards, Epica Awards were announced at the official website of the award during the last week of November. Epica’s aim is to reward outstanding creativity and help communication agencies, film production companies, media consultancies, photographers and design studios to develop their reputations across Europe and the EMEA region.
The Eurobest Festival drew to a close last night with the announcement of the 2011 winners at the much anticipated Awards Ceremony which took place at the São Luiz Theatre in Lisbon. The jury awarded a total of 398 winners from over 4800 entries. Germany took home the most awards (103 trophies), followed by France (52), Sweden (41), Belgium (36) and United Kingdom (33).
The Red Dot Design Award is an international product design prize awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany. With more than 6,000 submissions from 40 countries, the Red Dot’s international design competition ranks among the largest and most renowned in the world. The competition is divided into three categories: product design, communication design, and design concept. It serves to recognize those organizations that distinguish their business activities through design. This year the official award ceremony to honor the winners in the communication design category was held at the Konzerthaus in Berlin on October 7.
Blue Marlin’s two very different projects have been recognised by the renowned Design Business Association Design Effectiveness Awards, which is the only award scheme in the world to evaluate design projects based on hard commercial data. The DBA will reveal what level of award has been won—bronze, silver or gold—at a ceremony in London in February.
Pentawards, the world’s major packaging design competition, announced its 5th year winners. At the award ceremony, which took place in the heart of New York on September 29, the Diamond winner along with Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze winners were announced in a range of categories including beverages, food, body care and luxury to name but a few.
