On June 8, McDonald’s announced that it is charging eco designer Wayne Hemingway with creating a brand new, 100% recycled uniform for its 85,000 UK restaurant staff.

On July 1, BP returned to the British TV screens after a five-year break. The ad, created by Ogilvy & Mather, features BP’s sponsored athletes from the Olympics and Paralympics, including British track athlete Jessica Ennis and Paralympic runner Richard Whitehead. The athletes run in BP’s bio fields, as well as on field tracks, surrounded by cars.
On June 13, the worldwide Olympic sponsor Samsung unveiled its new logo to be used on all its London 2012 campaigns and advertising, including its sponsorship of the Torch Relay, for which it is a Presenting Partner. The presentation took place with the help of David Beckham, who signed up to be the Samsung London 2012 ambassador last month.
Cadbury, the Official Treat Provider of the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, is ploughing £6.5m into a new campaign—the Spots v Stripes Race Season—which kicks off today, March 1. Spots v Stripes Race Season will see nine challenges laid down to inspire the nation to play more games. These challenges aim to see if people can be genuinely speedy at tasks they do every day, giving every person in the UK and Ireland a fighting chance of breaking a World Record.
