Philips Norelco, the iconic electric shaving and grooming products brand, has partnered with five professional hockey teams including the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues, Detroit Red Wings and Nashville Predators to celebrate the playoff beard. All hockey fans know what it means. Not shaving for a while to support their favorite team has remained a ritual for fans to show off their solidarity for years.

Kotex wants a woman to talk about her period openly, and to be not shy about this controversial theme. The feminine hygiene care brand has teamed up with Israeli agency Smoyz to launch another campaign dedicated to the theme on Pinterest (the agency says that it’s the first-ever promotional effort that uses this photo-sharing service, which is gaining momentum now). The creative team behind the project dubbed ‘Women’s inspiration day’ selected women, who shared the photos with items which inspire them most on Pinerest boards, and then Kotex asked a female designer to incorporate the new Kotex design into these interests, such as lanterns, bowls, vases, spoons, etc.

Dove continues to communicate the ‘love yourself as you are’ philosophy to women around the globe (this became the key theme of the brand’s campaigns) with the launch of a new self-esteem initiative. Developed by Ogilvy & Mather, the new campaign will be promoting the importance of establishing positive relationship with you and your appearance, no matter how far from the ‘ideal’ one it may seem.

AXE teaches guys how to “stay cool” in situations that might be irritating or stressful and always remember that patience is really rewarding. The controversial body care brand usually preaches that men should be open and do not hide their emotions, which are related to their male nature, but sometimes to be a macho means to be reserved. The Unilever’s brand has released a series of ‘educational’ 1-minute spots, telling how to behave if you have a Brainy, Sporty, High Maintenance, Party or Flirty Girl. All of the videos are uploaded to the brand’s official YouTube channel (unfortunately, the series is not the key element there, since the front page of the channel is still promoting the recent ‘Anarchy’ campaign).

Durex Australia has launched a global creative contest ‘Durex Naked Box’ to crowdsource design for the new condom pack. While the activity to which Durex products relate is better enjoyed in a couple (traditionally), the brand still can deliver fun to a broader audience as this contest and previous creative competitions prove. The new initiative convinced by creative agency Iris Worldwide is rolling out on the Durex Facebook fan-page—the brand is offering people aged 18 or older create their own vivid and hilarious cover for the next box.

Procter&Gamble, which is the global Olympics sponsor, is launching a new digital campaign dubbed 1 Thank You = 1 Chance to Win as extension on its ‘Thank You Mum’ activity dedicated to support Olympic athletes (the ‘P&G Thanks, Mom’ was launched back in 2010). The effort was kicked off yesterday, March 5, in the UK ahead of Mothers’ Day celebrated on March 18—it is expected to roll across other markets on respective national days.
