Burton Snowboards and PepsiCo’s Mountain Dew have partnered to work on improving sustainability in apparel and outerwear. The brands will be collaborating during the 2012 and 2013 product seasons to change the way outerwear and apparel are made and searching the ways of creating sustainable fabrics out of recycled plastic bottles. The created material will feature the new Burton gear collections.

PUMA has teamed up with African artists to create football kits for the brand’s 10 partnered African National football teams. Renowned artists from the Creative African Network (CAN), a platform supported by PUMA that connects and promotes artists from Africa, took a hand in creation of colorful kits collection inspired by the country’s heritage. The collection is now exhibited at the Design Museum, London. 

Nike has rolled out a new ad campaign in China that  calls on people to run, even at night. Nikes effort to challenge Chinese, especially from big cities, to put on running shoes is reinforced with a new web video featuring runners who talk about why they run. A highlight of the video is the story of Salad, a stressed-out 25-year-old office worker who lives in noisy Shanghai and decides to run at night.
