ELLE, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Piaget, Acura, the AVEENO skin care and hair care brand, LG and Stella Artois to name a few became the sponsors of the 26th Film Independent Spirit Awards, which pays tribute to the independent film community, celebrating films made by filmmakers who embody independence and originality. ‘Black Swan,’ ‘Winter’s Bone,’ ‘127 Hours,’ ‘The Kids Are All Right,’ and ‘The King’s Speech’ among others received awards at the ceremony, held in Santa Monica, USA, on February 26.

Today, February 15, Stella Artois introduced the latest episode in the campaign for its premium 4% triple-filtered smooth lager produced by Mother London Agency. The whole series of video ads takes the viewer back into the 60’s to the sun-lit French Riviera and sees the title characters—attractive young men played by different actors—going through a number of changes in one episode, to eventually make an outstanding appearance in the eyes of a lady and order a glass of Stella Artois 4.

The Stella Artois brand, which is well known for its dedication to black-and-white, vintage movies and the artistic culture of the 60’s, is focusing on noir tones in its chick campaign, which was recently kicked off in the UK to support the launch of “rounded, full-bodied” Stella Artois Black (4,9% ABV). Fans of the iconic beer brand are invited to get into the atmosphere of exclusiveness the legendary French cinema provides, and travel in time with Stella by becoming part of the brand’s hilarious The Night Chauffeur campaign.

Stella Artois, the legendary pilsner from Belgium, named the champion of the 14th Stella Artois World Draught Masters competition, which was hosted in London on October 28. The event, which has been held annually since 1997, celebrates the iconic 9-step pouring ritual, which must be followed by any professional bartender in the world. This time, the grand prize—the Stella Artois Chalice—went to Chris Myers from Madison, Wisconsin (USA).

Stella Artois is challenging design students with a task to develop a range of the visual project related to the brand and its refined image. The new creative contest titled Design Competition 2010 Les Créateurs de Bbeauté, is running in one of the sections of the brand’s official website and is dedicated to the upcoming Stella Artois World Draught Masters, the global tournament of bartenders, to be held in London on October 28.

Stella Artois is continuing its campaign, revolving around the style of the French 60-ies and the recently adopted slogan “She is a thing of beauty.” Recently, the brand released an advert “Names” about things and their names, which was all resonating with the tagline, and now the iconic beer brand is launching another spot, which is less relevant to the theme, but is still quite interesting as it promotes one of the biggest events, arranged by Stella.
