This time, one of the most sexism-driven brands in the world is employing the theme of male and female friendship and is highlighting the highly debatable notion that girls are not for being friends with, but to sleep with.

Nike never misses a chance to get into big sport events: the new campaign by the brand has been kicked off to mark the launch of the new NFL season and pay tribute to those who make sport spectacular. The new promotional project, developed at Wieden+Kennedy Portland is revolving around the “Boom!” theme and features renowned athletes, school football teams and celebrities who starred in a series of 15-second spots.

Frito-Lay is continuing its global campaign focused on promoting the fact of its Lay’s chips’ naturalness. Now, the Canadian division of the company has launched a print & TV campaign on the same theme to introduce consumers to real farmers, who supply potatoes for the brand.

Doritos Australia has eventually named the winner of its “Doritos Make an Ad, Make a Fortune” national contest, which started in May. For the second consecutive year, the brand in cooperation with the Sydney-based Clemenger BBDO agency was encouraging creative minds from all across the country to enter the competition and become rich by creating a funny 29-second ad about Doritos. This year’s winner, 21-year old Alex George, managed to win the heart of the judges and voters with his ‘Tasmanian’ commercial and received $30 as the prize for sharing a piece of his creativity with Australia.

Corona Extra is expanding the Corona mindset to surprising places this fall with a new ad campaign for the USA that goes beyond the beach. The debut TV spot, called «Moments,» features a montage of scenes with people relaxing with their Corona Extras, but at fresh, unexpected places—from a mountain vista to a Big Sur cliff to a New York City rooftop. The spot closes on a couple on the iconic Corona beach, with the new tagline «Find Your Beach.»

Doritos launched the biggest, most unexpected Crash the Super Bowl yet. With an ad contract and a $5 million payout on the line for sweeping the top three rankings of the USA TODAY Ad Meter, the contest will offer an unprecedented six :30 Super Bowl ad spots for consumer-created commercials. Plus, this year’s contest brings the most surprising twist to date—Doritos inviting Pepsi MAX to the program for even more chances to sweep the top spots on the Ad Meter. Each brand will air three :30 consumer-created ads during the Super Bowl XLV broadcast, February 6, on FOX.
