The brand agency Landor, has unveiled results of its ‘The 2011 breakaway Brands study’. According to the study, Facebook, Skype and YouTube are among the leading brands that have grown dramatically over the last three years.

On June 7, Google announced its new experiment for YouTube called ‘Cosmic Panda’. Activating the Cosmic Panda with one click give users a new video-watching and playlist experience, extra page designs and editing tools to customise channels. Another feature: the ability to keep watching a video while moving between videos, playlists and channels only works in Google’s own Chrome browser.

YouGov BrandIndex has conducted a survey, asking U.S. citizens, who identified themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, to say which brands are best perceived by them. Google’s YouTube tops the list of twenty companies, which also includes Google, Disney, Ford, Apple and M&M’s. Surprisingly enough, the ranking doesn’t feature ABSOLUT, known for its long-standing commitment to help LGBT representatives feel better by launching a range of initiatives (Gay Theatre Festival is just one of them) as well as other vodka or beer drinks.

YouTube has included about 3,000 new movie titles into its video rental database amid the growing popularity of mobile devices and Internet-connected TVs, Los Angeles Times reports. The newly-added movies were produced by major Hollywood studios. Though no information has been provided on the names of the studios, according to LA reporter, this list may include Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Bros.,Universal Pictures and many more.
