Yahoo and Toyota have rolled out a new interactive ad format for Toyota Prius, called the ‘living ad.’ The new format of the ads designed to provide iPad users with an immersive experience of the new Prius range. The ads include photography and sequenced videos that use the device’s accelerometer and large canvas and due to it appear to be moving. This campaign follows the successful ‘Prius Goes Plural’ campaign.

Björk, one of the most original musicians of nowadays, has released a new album—this time an interactive one. The album called ‘Biophilia’ and the ambitious project deals with themes of nature, science and humanity’s relationships encouraging listeners to explore it via iPhone and iPad apps. This is the first-ever musical album with such apps.

On June 23, Nike re-opened its major 1948 store in Shoreditch. In the summer of 2008, Nike launched 1948 in an abandoned East London railway arch. Part retail space, part creative playground, 1948 ‘was about the constantly shifting space between art and athleticism,’ as explained in on the store’s web site. The space has undergone an extensive re-design in preparation for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.

On March 2, Apple unveiled the second version of its tablet—iPad 2. The most important developments that inspired the technological giant to roll out the second installment of the device are new design, two cameras and faster performance.

Speaking in a nutshell, there are two important things to know about Apple’s iPads. First, the new iPad 2 is 33% thinner, 15% lighter and considerably faster than its predecessor. And let’s not forget that its predecessor, iPad v.1.0,  according to Mr. Jobs, is ‘the most successful consumer product ever launched’ given the sales statistics: it earned Apple about 9.5 billiard dollars in the first 9 months after being introduced in April 2010.
