Amazon Is to Unveil Kindle Paperwhite Next Week

Amazon is expected to launch a new ‘Paperwhite’ Kindle next week, at the launch event on September 6. The leading e-reader with a touch screen will boast of an improved, looking like white paper e-ink as well as a corpus without any buttons—the only one button it featured is gone.

The bezel has also been revamped to become dark grey, says the Verge. All other details stay the same. It’s not disclosed if the new device will officially use the name ‘Paperwhite’ but it will obviously offer higher contrast, high resolution display with integrated lighting. The last feature must be the most luring for consumers. The battery will serve for eight weeks.

Amazon will also present one or more new Kindle Fires, which were introduced a year ago and for now have been sold out.
