AT&T has ‘employed a lawyer’ named Kent Wesley for its new holiday season ad campaign. Using one of the AT&T’s 4G smartphones and a Facebook app, people can create a personalized video.

Using the ‘You’ve Got a Case’ Facebook app and persuasive power of actor Will Arnett people can create a video for one of five AT&T smartphones: the HTC Vivid, the Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket, the HTC Inspire 4G, the Samsung Captive Glide 4G or the BlackBerry Torch 4G. The video in which the actor plays a lawyer to advocate for the phone on a user’s behalf is optimized for both the desktop and mobile devices.
After allowing the app to access their profile, users can tell the lawyer what phone they would like and whom they want to ‘serve’ your case to. If this person doesn’t have a Facebook account, he or she will be able to receive the video via email. The ‘case’ can then be shared to the Facebook wall. Those who wish themselves a new 4G phone for a Christmas gift can hint on it in such a comic way.
The campaign that seems to be just a fun smartly expands the message on the AT&T phones virally through people who can influence each other—close friends or relatives.
AT&T, one of the biggest US tech retailers, also starts to sell innovative ‘medical’ clothes in its stores nationwide.
