Bacardi Brown Forman Launched an Online Training Hub for Bartenders

Bacardi Brown Forman wants bartenders across the world reach the level of real perfection. So, the global producer of alcohol drinks opened a new hub on its www.pourfection.com platform, offering a plethora of educational spots, informative posts, course materials and exams for visitors to explore and improve their skills with.

The tips are provided by the Bacardi Brown Forman Training Team on the website’s pages. Those, who want to learn more, can book any of their public training courses through the hub (the schedule can be found on the main page, so far the further event is set for March 2011). The hub also invites to explore the video section, which contains spots showcasing representatives of the UK bartending community preparing hilarious mixes, see photos from the events and read related posts in the blogs, as well as recipes and images of already made cocktails in the ‘Cocktail of the Week’ section.

The visitors to the page are also encouraged to take part in a competition to find a name for the character, which is placed on the top of the page. They can go to the Facebook page to enter the contest and learn about the prizes the winner can receive. The Training team also launched a Twitter account and a YouTube page, where it hosts the educational videos.

Alex Turner, BBFB resident mixologist, comments, “The needs of bartenders are very different to the rest of the trade so it was important to us to launch something tailored to them but in a fun and engaging way.We also wanted to give bartenders access to the Training Team outside of actual training days so advice can be obtained at the touch of a button.”
