Blue Marlin is delighted to announce that it has picked up one silver and three bronze Pentawards including its seventh award for its much loved design for mineral water brand Isklar. The Pentawards is the only worldwide competition devoted exclusively to packaging design. The presentation took place during the Shanghai Expo in China on October 1.
The integrated independent agency group won silver for its Kettle Ridge packaging, and bronze for Isklar Sparkling Natural Glacial Mineral Water, Tango and True Lemon.
Tango relaunched last May with a new look that encapsulates the brand personality perfectly and ranks as one of the biggest success stories of 2009. Adam Goodger, senior brand manager for Tango, comments: “We’re thrilled Tango’s fun and unique design has been recognised by the Pentawards. With the help of Blue Marlin, Tango’s evolving design continues to keep the brand fresh and make sure it stands out in a very competitive category.”
Isklar has won a wide range of awards including several Water Innovation Awards, a Diamond Gramia, a UK Packaging Award and a Gold Penataward last year for the design of its still mineral water bottle. This sees the new sparkling variant, which launched in the UK in March, recognised for its innovative design.
Blue Marlin co-founder David Hodgson comments: “There’s nothing quite like having great work recognised and we are all delighted that very different brands and very different treatments have been rewarded. It demonstrates the breadth and depth of our offer from graphics, through structure to pure branding.”
