Bombay Sapphire and Tribeca Film Festival have launched a competition for emerging filmmakers for the chance to make their own short film.

International participants can visit the dedicated web site till 8 of May and interpret a short film script created by Academy Award winner, Geoffrey Fletcher. As usual, Bombay Sapphire calls on filmmakers to use their imagination to win.
Bombay Sapphire Global Marketing Manager Joanna Botwood commented: «Imagination is at the heart of everything Bombay Sapphire does and aims to celebrate and harness imagination in all of its forms — in this case filmmaking.
«Imagination is intrinsic to filmmaking and therefore our aim is to give people the chance to explore their imagination — just as we infuse the 10 botanicals to give Bombay Sapphire its unique taste, we are infusing an Academy Award-Winning screenwriter’s script with people’s imagination to create unique short films to show that imagination can take you everywhere.»
Geoffrey Fletcher created a short, stripped of details script to let participants’ imagination flow and interpret parts of the story as they want. Filmmakers can use live action, animation, drawings or any other form to embody their ideas in the best way.
After May 8, five winners from a shortlist of entries will be selected by an international judging panel, including Geoffrey Fletcher. The winners will be given support to produce and direct their own films that will then be presented at a star-studded international event early next year.
This is not the first common initiative of the gin brand and TFF. Last month, Bombay Sapphire launched digital tools to help the film festival visitors better navigate through the festival.
