On June 8, Bombay Sapphire made the situated on the Thames bank Battersea Power Station illuminate with a 3D spectacular projection. The imagination was the key-point of the Bombay Sapphire ‘Project Your Imagination Competition’. Launched in December 2010 the famous gin brand asked people from all the world to demonstrate their imagination by submitting ideas including drawings and poems, to be used as the inspiration for the Bombay Sapphire 3D show.
The short list included artists from the UK to Australia but the winner turned out to be Albanian Erjola Veliaj, choosen by Facebook users. It’s her imagination that inspired the creators of the visually transforming the Battersea Power Station.
The building was lit up in a rainbow of changing colours reflecting the bold, square lines. Spectators were then shown a fantastic blue world inside the building, which reflected vibrantly in the water of the river. Music set ehnanced the effect. Bombay Sapphire invited guests from around the world to spectate the show from the luxurious The Silver Sturgeon, the flagship vessel of the Silver Fleet. Guests floated on the Thames sipping Bombay Sapphire cocktails with a great viewpoint of this stunning piece of imaginative contemporary art.
