The revamped free app for iPhone, iPod Touch and Android makes it easier for on-the-go consumers to search for and rate restrooms across the USA.
The SitOrSquat features a simplified rating system and an easier way to log-in and share with others. Hispanic audience can now enjoy it in their native language too as Charmin says its Spanish-speaking audience is growing. Additionally, the app allows users to find restrooms equipped with specific features, such as changing tables and handicap access. The new app contains over 119,000 restrooms.
“Charmin doesn’t just help at home, but also when people are out and about and need it most. SitOrSquat helps families find clean and comfortable bathrooms wherever they go. Why should anyone have to settle for anything less?” says Laura Dressman, P&G External Relations Manager for the Family Care team.
The rating system within the app allows users to add and rate a new location. To rate it, they can use either a ‘Sit’ that stands for an enjoyable bathroom or a ‘Squat’ that marks a restroom that could be better. Consumers can also leave comments and add photos.
The SitOrSquat: Bathroom Finder app was launched in 2008 for the first time and has quickly become popular among on-the-go consumers. ParentingMagazine named SitOrSquat one of its best apps for moms in its December/January issue.
