Have you ever wanted to design your own car? Well now you can – at least the roof and dashboard.

Citroën, the innovative French automobile manufacturer, has announce an open competition for re-designing the roof and the dashboard of the DS3 model.  The winner of design event will have their design put into production in 2011.

Anyone can enter and designs will be judged on their originality using innovative ideas that comply with the specifications for functionality of the DS3.  Rules and specifications can be found at www.citroencreativeawards.com.

All entries must be received before July 4, 2010.  They will be judged by a panel of experts within the class of luxury vehicles.  Judges will include Thierry Metroz, Director of Style for Citroen and representatives from Luis Vuitton, the Cartier Foundation and from GQ France.

The winners will be announced on October 4, 2010. There will be cash awards for the top three judged designs an exhibition to mark the beginning of the 2010 Paris Motor Show in October.

The winning design will be available on a limited edition DS3 in 2011.
