LinkedIn is rolling out its global campaign, The Picture Yourself, that focuses on success and personal stories of four people who reached big on their professional path. The initiative goes from direct relation to career goals to plans and aspirations, asking the audience “What’s your dream?” As part of this campaign, a local effort in the UK was launched, marking the first-ever LinkedIn’s brand campaign on the market.
The UK marketing initiative, developed in collaboration with BMB, encompasses videos, starring the platform members, as well as diverse social media elements. The spots are also featured on the dedicated page that gives users a dose of inspiration. “Fast forward your journey. Picture yourself where you want to be and let LinkedIn help you get there. These members did,” says the header of the page, inviting to watch the stories of Sunny (designer), Roshni (freelance writer), Matt (music artist) and Olivia (food expert).
LinkedIn also encourages people to share their stories of how they’ve transformed their careers or business with the prime social media hub for professionals. The chosen stories will be featured on LinkedIn’s official blog and on other communication platforms to inspire the vast LinkedIn’s community of 15 million users to dream and reach big.
The centerpiece video of the international The Picture Yourself effort revolves around children’s dreams and their professional plans for the future.
“Our members often tell us amazing stories about the difference using the platform has made in their professional lives,” commented Peter Maxmin, director of consumer marketing, EMEA at LinkedIn. “It seemed natural to hone in on some of those inspiring British stories to show other professionals the real difference that LinkedIn can make to their careers, and highlight how easy it is to tap into the power of your network. We are also asking all LinkedIn members to tell us their experiences in order to inspire others in their network.”
