This hot summer, the Russian portfolio of Martini sparkling wines, which already includes Martini Asti, Martini Brut and Martini Rose, welcomes a new addition, Martini Prosecco. This organic dry sparkling wine, produced in the north-eastern part of Italy, has apple and peach notes as well as a unique spicy aftertaste.
Martini Prosecco makes the perfect match with sea food and Mediterranean salads, and also serves as an excellent refreshing base for cocktails, enhancing the taste of their fruit ingredients. This wine is wonderful for making the Martini Bellini blend, invented in 1948 by Giuseppe Cipriani, the owner of the famous Harry’s Bar in Venice.
The cocktail, which is made of chilled Martini Prosecco and mashed fresh peaches, has become the symbol of dolce vita. This alcohol and fruit mix was one of the favourite cocktails of many world celebrities including Ernest Hemingway, Scott Fitzgerald, Orson Welles, Dorothy Parker, Aristotelis Onassis and many more.
