As cold days are approaching, warm knitted wool items seem to be among the most desired accessories for the upcoming chilly season. Knowing that the best knitted pieces are the ones made by yourself or your close friends and family, MINI has teamed up with lifestyle knitting label Wool and the Gang to release sets named the “MINI & Wool and the Gang” the LULA HOOP scarf kit for passionate knitters. With this move, the auto brand pays tribute to this DIY trend (quite contemporary in fact thanks to guerilla urban knitting), plus allows its fans to put the warms of their hands into the self-made scarf.

The limited-edition kit in a black paper bag includes the two balls of 100 per cent Peruvian “crazy sexy wool” one pair of 15 sm knitting needles, a sewing needle, care instructions and a loop pattern. To connect the piece with MINI’s visual traditions, the colour of the wool is True Blue Metallic, which is a deep shade of blue, which can be seen exclusively on the MINI Countryman vehicles. The kit also includes a sew-on badge featuring the MINI / Wool and the Gang cooperation’s logo, which indicates which brands are behind the product.

“Whether you’ve spotted their potential as the perfect gift or are gripped by the urge to knit it yourself, the result—the LULA HOOP scarf in the MINI Countryman paint shade True Blue Metallic—will make an essential addition to any wardrobe this winter,” says MINI in the press release. The set for the Beginner level knitters is priced at €75.00 and is available from the Wool and the Gang online shop starting October 1. In fact, the collaboration between MINI and Wool and the Gang started back in 2010, when guests of the MINI Countryman Open Air event in London could test Wool and the Gang knitting needles.
