Nike made a hilarious present to the ladies who want to highlight their individuality this year. The iconic sportswear brand decided to kill two birds with one stone by releasing Nike Sportswear WMNS Premium Print Pack, which includes sneakers all made of unique material, rarely used for producing footwear. To make these uppers, the brand used… recycled magazines (probably, the ones describing previous models of the brand).

To produce this amazing pack, Nike stitched together paper stripes of cut-up recycled magazines. Since each of these pieces has its own pattern (made up of letters, image fragments, etc.), the shoes are visually 100% unique. Of course, the paper is coupled with a special transparent material for better resistance and durability (it wouldn’t be good if the shoes turn to unattractive water-damaged paper if you got caught in the rain some day, would it?). This revolutionary collection, which goes hand in hand with the sustainability programs of the brand, includes the eco-versions of famous Nike Flash Macro Premium (sail/birch), Nike Blazer Mid Premium (sail/khaki) and Nike Air Rift Premium (sail/sport red).

The shoes (each pair can be purchased separately) first appeared on January 1 in European and Chinese stores as part of the Nike Sportswear Spring 2011 collection. So far, the brand keeps silent on when it’s going to launch the pack in the U.S.
