Nokia Asks Its Fans to Impersonate Their Favourite Film Protagonist

To spread the word about its partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures to promote The Dark Knight Rises, Nokia has launched Film Week at Nokia Connects hub, celebrating world’s classics and latest movies. Nokia has kicked off a competition, #NokiaFilmChallenge, which encourages Nokia fans to turn into their favourite movie characters.

Nokia calls its fans to dress up like or just act like their beloved protagonist—Batman, Terminator, Don Corleone or anyone else—for a chance to win a Nokia 808 PureView. To enter a competition, users have to film themselves impersonating their favourite film star, upload the clip to the video-sharing website and tweet the link using the hashtag #NokiaFilmChallenge. The submission period ends on July 8, and the next day, July 9, the brand will announce the winner. Nokia also notes that it will give bonus points to users who film it on their Nokia, but of course, the winner will be selected based on his or her talent and creativity.

As part of the partnership, Nokia has also released the exclusive Limited Edition Nokia Lumia 900, a black phone featuring a striking laser engraved Batman symbol on the shell. The brand has also unveiled the Dark Knight Rises app, which is available for download on Nokia Lumia smartphones only—ir offers exclusive content, sevices and gaming experience ahead of the release of the movie.
