Subaru Continues Its ‘Dog Tested. Dog Approved’ Ad Campaign with New Spots and Apps

Subaru’s extremely popular ‘Dog Tested. Dog Approved’ ad campaign continues for the third year with a new highlight—owners and their four-legged best friends were invited to celebrate the second annual Subaru Game Day Dog Walk on February 5.

To participate, people should have gone to Subaru’s Facebook page. This year, Subaru has got two new social apps and four funny Dog Tested videos to help owners and dogs get their walk on.

The Dogbook app suggested a kind of Facebook for dogs. Through the MapMyDOGWALK, a mobile application for iPhone. dog owners can access a geo-mapping app to track and store daily dog walking routes in an online database. There are also other features including dog event listings, fitness calculators, even a global dog route database.

Subaru builds its brand around the dogs as these pats play a significant role in the lives of Subaru owners, says the company. Subaru drivers are twice as likely to have a pet as average car owners. According to the company, seven out of ten Subaru drivers have a pet; Subaru drivers also more likely to engage in recreational activities such as camping, boating, skiing and other sporting activities.

There are also four new spots featuring only dogs: ‘Camping,’ ‘Ski Trip,’ ‘Jackknife’ and ‘The Beach’ that can be viewed on YouTube.
