Pernod Ricard Eastern Europe and Russia is to roll out a new limited edition in a series of the ABSOLUT Cities, exclusively for the Russian market. ABSOLUT Moscow is the first-ever collectible variety paying tribute to Russia, which is arguably considered the home country of vodka.
ABSOLUT VODKA
ABSOLUT VODKA goes crowdsourcing—the legendary brand is encouraging U.S. residents to develop the new design for ABSOLUT Chicago, the latest limited-edition bottle in the city series. For the new initiative, the brand has collaborated with the online design community Threadless, which is hosting the competition on its platform. The winner of the art contest will get his or her design featured on the legendary bottle and will walk away with $10,000 and a trip to the ABSOLUT Chicago launch party.
ABSOLUT Vodka launches a new limited-edition bottle, originating from the brand’s previous project, ABSOLUT BLANK, which was launched back in 2011 and engaged celebrated artists from across the globe. It’s always better to start with a clean sheet—or a blank bottle,—so the new urban flower-inspired ABSOLUT VODKA BLANK EDITION by Dave Kinsey had a really good platform to grow on. In the new bottle print, the contemporary artist and designer explored the connection between emotional and environmental in his well-recognized “mural paintings” style.
This summer ABSOLUT was on a tour around the UK with its Blank art project offering people an unconventional digital experience. The hit of the project was a soundproofed booth. Anybody could enter it, choose their favorite track and dance using their bodies as digital brushes to create digital trails in real-time. The background was blank and served as a canvas for consumers’ artwork.
This year the executive creative body of ABSOLUT VODKA company, Absolut Art Bureau, has partnered with the quinquennial exhibition of modern and contemporary art dOCUMENTA (13), which has taken place from June 9 to September 16 in Kassel, Germany, as well as become a sponsor and supporter of another art event Art 43 Basel in Switzerland.
