WWF has teamed up with the Do The Green Thing online platform of creative “green” ideas to get UK artists celebrating Earth Hour 2014 with their artworks. The environmental organization is inviting UK young creatives to contribute to the global movement and get their work featured among the 29 pieces by professional poster artists. The national competition in support of the WWF’s Earth Hour, marked on March 29 next year, will be held in cooperation with Pentagram Design.

Amsterdam is paying tribute to its heritage by launching a line of quirky souvenirs. To celebrate the 400th anniversary of its canal district, the city releases a set of designed bottles, Amsterdam Canal Aqua. Each of the four bottles is filled with water that is taken from the most recognizable Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Herengracht and Singel canals.

The Lynx Africa turns 18 this year, and to celebrate this occasion the brand has teamed up with the TMW agency to roll out an art-focused campaign dubbed “The can becomes the man.” Lynx has launched a digital hub and commissioned 17 artists to share their creative pieces revolving around the cultural heritage of the fragrance. The 18th work is to be created by the label’s fans.

Bombay Sapphire is selecting the last winner of the second annual «Imagination Series» film competition. In April, budding filmmakers were challenged to create a short film based on a script by Academy Award-wining Geoffrey Fletcher. So far the jury has named four finalists, while the fifth one is to be defined by public voting online.

Illy coffee extends its art collection of cups and tins with a new addition designed by the Chinese artist Liu Wei. The Illy Art Cup 2013 set is a tribute to modern abstract art and a celebration of an urban vibe, translated through lines and colours. The visual language of the coffee set stems from the artist’s The Purple Air oil paintings, depicting stylized skyscraper cityscapes.

The spirits brand Pernod Absinthe and the electronic music record label and fashion brand Maison Kitsuné have collaborate for the second consecutive year to launch a new multi-faceted project. The creative effort incorporates passion for adventurous travels around the globe, music and offbeat design. Maison Kitsuné is releasing a series of five short music documentaries to tell the world how the brand’s creative team sources inspiration from various distant parts of the globe. To support the launch, Pernod Absinthe released a limited-edition bottle with an eye-catching artistic design by Maison Kitsuné.
