Volkswagen has added a new portion of blue shade to its “Think Blue.” approach with the launch of the new international campaign “Think Blue.Book.”. The new promotion, which starts with an eco up! commercial, traditionally celebrates the sustainable technologies used in Volkswagen’s new fuel-efficient, low-emission models. A few other videos are set to follow in the coming months.

MINI introduces a new element to its “Design with Bite” campaign for the Paceman car, started back in January 2013. Now, the brand invites its global fan community to embark on an epic urban ride through a night city on the dedicated website. The users face various challenges during the online “Discover Your Inner Paceman” journey behind the wheel of the virtual blue MINI Paceman. In the end, MINI defines the inner personality of the user based the choices that were made throughout the ride.

The BMW Guggenheim Lab, the German automaker’s mobile laboratory that has moved across the biggest cities since 2011 to addresses the problems of urban living, is now exploring the theme of privacy in a big city through a new interactive experience “Public/Private.” The global audience is invited to measure the level of privacy they want and get in their metropolitan areas, build a visual graph based on their choices and then compare it with the results of other users.

Nissan is kicking off a new pan-European campaign under the “Urban Thrill Rides” tagline to promote the city car, a new Nissan Juke n-tec, available in European showrooms from March. The effort, developed by TBWAG1, writes a new charter in the “urban” narration, started by the brand years ago. It reveals the car’s adventurous personality and demonstrates how easily it integrates into the megalopolises’ life, ruled by high speed. The “Urban Thrill Rides” push is launching across more than 20 European countries starting April.

For just one day, April 1, MINI is stepping onto the new, romantic matchmaking ground. The brand has updated its MINI Connected App with the Connect Us feature allowing to find a perfect date on the go. The new “cupid” feature, which can be used exclusively in MINIs, finds you a partner based on your driving style, the most accurate criterion to define your personality. “Get connected, get matched up, get dating,” says MINI, describing the new game.

Ford Motor Co. is employing the “don’t choose, take both” theme in its latest U.S. campaign titled “AND not OR.” The new cross-channel push, which is set to roll out in April, is designed to promote Ford’s EcoBoost engine family that is positioned as an alternative to many eco-vehicles by other auto brands on the market. The promotion takes on the common misconception that owners of the “green” cars have to choose one thing from two important ones—the ads say that there should be no bargains when it comes to comfort and performance. The campaign will include humorous prints, TV commercials, followed by social media and digital promotions.

The classic Mini cars along with Dolly the sheep, 3D displays, holography, liquid crystal, world wide web, and some other groundbreaking technical discoveries made in the U.K., have been nominated for the title of the best Great Britain’s past innovation. The British Science Association has invited the international audience to cast a vote for the most important and influential British Past and Future Innovations. The resuls of voting in both categories will be revealed on March 25.
