PepsiCo, one of the biggest advertisers of the event, announced yesterday, October 16, that it tapped international pop diva and 16-time Grammy-Award winner Beyoncé to perform during the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on CBS on February 3, 2013. The game and the music act will be broadcast internationally.

PayPal is promoting its instant pay services in its first-ever campaign starring actor Jeff Goldblum. The e-commerce company released a series of 30-second videos, which are revolving around the benefits of using PayPal when purchasing all kinds of goods, saving their time and money, both online and in actual stores. The vignettes will be available through the end of the year on Hulu, AOL and Yahoo, as well as on eBay’s pages.

Chanel has finally released a much-anticipated video for Chanel No. 5 starring Brad Pitt, who is now one of the brand’s celebrity ambassadors. Before the launch of the film, the brand released a series of teaser spots with Brad’s voice and a single photo of him turned to the wall, in the black-and-white palette, which was also used for the full-version film. In the 30-sec spot, which appeared on Chanel’s YouTube page on October 14, the Hollywood A-lister is standing in a casual outfit and talking about the iconic fragrance just like it is a woman… or oxygen and gravitation. Inspired by other brands including Toshiba, Target shot a film dubbed “Falling for You” starring Kristen Bell, Nia Long and Zachary Burr Abel to promote around of 110 Target-exclusive items, which will appear on the screen during the three webisodes. Since it’s not just another movie, but an innovative disguised catalogue, all the goods from pencil holders and apparel to furniture pieces and linen can be moved to a virtual shopping cart, plus they can be easily shared by viewers via social media channels with a click of a mouse button. Pepsi has one again tapped one of the biggest Bollywood stars, Priyanka Chopra, as its ambassadress. The brand already collaborated with the Indian A-lister four years ago (the deal was closed because of some endorsement fee issues), and now welcomes the celebrity again. Chopra joins a roster of well-recognized Indian faces including MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina as well as Ranbir Kapoor, who co-star with Priyanka in the latest Bollywood comedy Barfi!.

A Hollywood beauty and Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry unveiled her new fragrance, launched by Coty Beauty. The new scent “Closer” for her is all about a play of opposites, as it combines the traditional masculine and feminine accords and is unveiled in a bottle, which resembles the contours of the male and female body. The fragrance from Halle, which is developed to allure both men and women, is set for the global launch in September.
