The Jeep brand is rolling out a new ad campaign to promote its 2012 Jeep Wrangler. The campaign called ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ blurs the boarders of reality and encompasses broadcast, print, digital, social media, experiential events and an out-of-home placement including the use of electroluminescent billboards. A new tagline for the campaign sounds: ‘The toughest vehicle in the world. Any world.’

Volkswagen has launched a new campaign entitled VW Fanwagen in the Netherlands, blending a modern social media twist with a retro vibe. The new promotion, developed by Dutch agency Achtung, has been launched on Facebook—the brand is offering its fans an opportunity to built ‘the most social car ever’ and promises to give it to one lucky participant.

Carbonated drink brands put male into focus this fall—a few weeks ago, Dr Pepper rolled out its Ten version for machos across the U.S., and now Pepsi MAX, another brand targeting male consumers, is stepping out with the new marketing activity revolving around male friendship. For the new digital campaign dubbed Top Mates, which has been launched on Facebook, the brand teamed up with advertising agency Clemenger BBDO Sydney. The promotion, which is supported by TV and radio elements across the country as reported by www.bandit.com.au, will be running for a month, but the brand is going to continue using this idea for further fan engagement.

Kohl’s Department Stores has launched the ‘Love to Give, Happy to Save’ Facebook contest. The contest’s aim is to inspire people to share their stories of giving and let them decide how to allocate half a million dollars from Kohl’s to Feeding America, an organization dedicated to fighting hunger in America through a national network of food banks and Toys for Tots, a program through which  new, unwrapped toys are collected and given as Christmas gifts to children in need.

Smirnoff rolls out the Season 2 premiere of its reality television show, Master of the Mix that was launched last fall for the first time. To deliver the show on screens, the leading vodka brand is partnering with BET Networks, the US leading provider of quality entertainment, music, news and public affairs television programming for the African-American audience. 

Stella Artois held yesterday the finals of its annual World Draught Masters competition in Buenos Aires, Argentina to choose a winner. The competition is dedicated to the skill of pouring beer into glasses using the signature 9-step Pouring Ritual. Like at the 2010 competition finals in London, this year’s competitors from 25 countries came together to boast of their skills and determine who is the best beer master.
