Stella Artois Has Chosen Winners of the 2011 World Draught Masters Competition

Stella Artois held yesterday the finals of its annual World Draught Masters competition in Buenos Aires, Argentina to choose a winner. The competition is dedicated to the skill of pouring beer into glasses using the signature 9-step Pouring Ritual. Like at the 2010 competition finals in London, this year’s competitors from 25 countries came together to boast of their skills and determine who is the best beer master.

Nanda Nkumar Sethy, who presented Dubai, became Stella Artois World Draught Master 2011 for his passionate and detailed movements while presenting beer. Sethy now begins a global journey as an ambassador for Stella Artois and his own quest.

The second winner was Binod Karel of Hong Kong and Stocia Simona Nicoleta of Romania came in third place.

During the finals guests were entertained by a renowned Argentine singer, Elena Roger, and a specially commissioned ‘aerial tango’ from theatre group Cuerda Producciones.  The event was also broadcasted online at www.stellaartois.com and on the brand’s Facebook page.

Alexander Lambrecht, Global Marketing Manager, Stella Artois, said, “We were extremely proud to have welcomed the fantastic finalists from around the world, and as ever, the competitors distinguished themselves, demonstrating poise, passion and perfection. We were especially pleased to extend the reach of the event through our live stream of the show, enjoyed by viewers at home, and at local viewing parties where friends and family of our competitors gathered to show their support.”
