Google is expanding its Google Glass Explorers program, rolled out in spring 2013, by encouraging the initial 10,000 beta testers to bring in their friends.
Interbrand’s “2013 Best Global Brands” top 100 list has revealed that Coca-Cola, which used to lead the chart for the previous 13 years, has lost its dominance as the most valuable global brand, yielding precedency to the technology giant Apple estimated at $98.3 billion. The total value of all 100 best global brands is $1.5 trillion, which is 8.4% record increase over 2012, Interbrand reports.
Following the anti-extremism and anti-human-trafficking online networks launched by Google earlier this year, the tech giant is rolling out a new online humanitarian project, Constitute, which is a searchable archive of fundamental sets of laws of 160 countries of the world. The project was launched on September 23 under the banner of Google Ideas, the branch which had given a grant to the Comparative Constitutions and made this initiative possible.
Arcade Fire, a Grammy-winning indie rock music band from Canada, has collaborated with Google to create an interactive video for its new track, Reflektor, in which the desktop or mobile users can add different visual effects as it’s playing. The project comes as one of the open-source Google Chrome experiments.
