Toyota USA previews a new social shopping app, Toyota Collaborator, that will allow potential buyers of the cars to learn more about the vehicles, customize them without visiting a dealership and even go on a virtual test-drive with friends online. The application, which was developed by Saatchi & Saatchi LA in collaboration with Google and Joystick Interactive, was introduced as a prototype at the Google I/O event.

Google is announcing an international philanthropic project, “Global Human Trafficking Hotline Network,” created to help eradicate the problem of modern slavery. The initiative, funded by Google, is a collaborative effort by Polaris Project, Liberty Asia, and LaStrada International. The new initiative combines expertise of the members, which are primarily working in three regions, United States, the Mekong Delta region and Europe. It is designed to make it simpler for the victims of human trafficking to get a timely support both in the USA and abroad.

Google is launching a bunch of pranks for April Fool’s Day. Google Nose beta seems to be the most impressive one in this range. The service allows to experience smells of various things by just typing in their names and also lets detect objects by their scent. Google Nose, developed “to offer the sharpest olfactory experience available,” even got a website where the service is detailed.
