Procter & Gamble unites its two leading brands, Head & Shoulders and Old Spice, for a new product that combines the benefits of both labels’ ranges. The launch of the new product, which is the official shampoo of Major League Baseball (MLB), is supported by multi-channel “Season of the Whiff” promotional campaign with a humorous touch.

Wrigley, a subsidiary of Mars Inc., is adding some energy to its product range. The gum manufacturer is launching its new Alert Energy Caffeine Gum brand on the U.S. market as an alternative to such traditional energizing products as coffee, tea or energy drinks. The new product, which is targeted at consumers aged 25 and older, will be carrying warning labels with information on the caffeine component to help them control their daily caffeine intake.

H&M is taking on sportswear giants such as Nike and adidas with its new move. The retailer has teamed up with international tennis player Tomas Berdych, who is ranked 6th in the world, to “mark a new chapter in the relationship between sport and fashion.” The global sports star will wear the clothes of the brand on and off the court and will also work in a tie-up with the H&M design team, developing a unique tennis collection, which is to arrive in stores later this year.

The blue tin has been the symbol of NIVEA since 1925, and has contributed a lot to the brand’s high recognition on the market. Over the decades, the brand’s parent company Beiersdorf has been developing the brand basing on its core values. 2013 is the year when the NIVEA skin and body care portfolio gets a major design update, which starts rolling out gradually across more than 200 countries in January.

Maison Lancôme teams up with Alber Elbaz, the head designer of fashion giant Lanvin, on a “deeply audacious” and “exceptional collaboration,” which is due to arrive in early summer, on June 15. So far, brands don’t say much about the upcoming make-up collection, but it’s clear that the new range will be very feminine since Lancôme celebrates “joyful femininity” with its products, and Elbaz’s “approach is naturally in tune” with the brand.
