Lancôme and Alber Elbaz Collaborate on a New Secret Make-up Collection

Maison Lancôme teams up with Alber Elbaz, the head designer of fashion giant Lanvin, on a “deeply audacious” and “exceptional collaboration,” which is due to arrive in early summer, on June 15. So far, brands don’t say much about the upcoming make-up collection, but it’s clear that the new range will be very feminine since Lancôme celebrates “joyful femininity” with its products, and Elbaz’s “approach is naturally in tune” with the brand.

To announce the their upcoming international product, the brands released a short intriguing animated video, in which ladies go crazy and faint when see the results of the collaborative effort (the viewers don’t see anything). One can spot winking Alber Elbaz (drawn with colour markers) in the spot, too. In 2010, H&M launched a collection with Lanvin, and they also decided to announce the new collaborative effort using a very cryptic campaign.

Alber Elbaz is, without a doubt, one of the world’s most influential fashion designers. But beyond that, he is also the most talented. His sense of luxury, his vision of femininity and that hint of audacity resonate perfectly with the new values of the Maison Lancome. We are extremely proud and happy that, with us, he is set to channel his universe into the world of make-up for the very first time,” shared Youcef S. Nabi, Lancome President.
