Guinness is encouraging the British to make cities a better place to live by implementing their urban regeneration projects. The famous beer brand collaborated with UnLtd, a global body supporting social entrepreneurs, and Rathbone, UK-based voluntary group to initiate the Bring It To Life Awards project. Guinness is inviting people aged 25 – 35 to contribute to their local communities and receive money prizes for their activity.

Amway Global announced that it will partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to help build seven community gardens across the United States. The Amway Global Positive Sprouts project mobilizes volunteers and incorporates the gardening expertise of the Green Education Foundation (GEF) to teach kids how to start and maintain their own edible gardens. An accompanying curriculum will educate youngsters about nutrition, organic gardening practices, and cooking from the garden.

Pepsi announced the latest round of Pepsi Refresh Project Grant recipients, who have been collectively awarded $1.3 million. The Pepsi Refresh Project, a ground-breaking initiative designed to fund good ideas, big and small, that help refresh our world, will award more than $20 million in 2010 to the ideas voted most likely to move our communities forward by the public via online voting.
