On May 25th 2010, hundreds of Atlanta residents passing by the Atlantic Station, had a chance to attend a special event, organized by Tetley USA. It is called COOL OFF Event and supposed to be a fun-for-good campaign to promote tea drinking and raise funds for charity — CURE Childhood Cancer, the non-profit organization based in Marietta, Georgia.
Guinness is encouraging the British to make cities a better place to live by implementing their urban regeneration projects. The famous beer brand collaborated with UnLtd, a global body supporting social entrepreneurs, and Rathbone, UK-based voluntary group to initiate the Bring It To Life Awards project. Guinness is inviting people aged 25 – 35 to contribute to their local communities and receive money prizes for their activity.
Pepsi announced the latest round of Pepsi Refresh Project Grant recipients, who have been collectively awarded $1.3 million. The Pepsi Refresh Project, a ground-breaking initiative designed to fund good ideas, big and small, that help refresh our world, will award more than $20 million in 2010 to the ideas voted most likely to move our communities forward by the public via online voting.
