Curators Angel Antonio Ojeda and Jeremy Brown have chosen 20 abstract paintings by 20 local couples to present and share an idea of love’s ability to transcend all forms of discrimination. The works are to be put up for a silent auction open from 7 pm till 9 pm. All proceeds will benefit the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). Since 1980 the HRC has been defeated all forms of discrimination, while educating the public about equality issues, especially those affecting the LGBT-American communities.

The night event is a part of a bigger Love Is Art program that is now in the midst of a 12-city tour across the USA. The planned stops include in cities such as New York, Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The project has a dedicated web site and Facebook page.

Guests of the ‘Toyota Love Is Art Project’ will be treated with hors d’oeuvres and drinks. Toyota will display a number of its vehicles. In addition, the JBL audio equipment designs will be on exhibit. All guests must be at least 21 years old to enter, and there is a $10 admission fee. Required attire at this event is cocktail chic.

People can also buy a special Love Is Art Kit that comes “with everything you need to safely create a one of a kind, tangible piece of abstract expressionistic art while being intimate with the one you love,” as it is explained at the online store.

Love Is Art was founded by Jeremy Brown who has been collaborated with his colleague at Six Degrees Media and 944 Media and evelution media group founder, Angel Antonio Ojeda. While Toyota is the title sponsor of the event, additional sponsors include Quicken Loans, Henry Ford Health System, MotorCity Casino Hotel, Ambassador Magazine, Blue Moon Brewing Co., Blue Nectar Tequila and Grey Goose vodka.

Love is Art is a regular initiative that attracts various companies as sponsors. The next event  in Atlanta on December 10 will be supported by Lexus as a title sponsor.

Toyota has recently rolled out a new Camry campaign in the US called ‘It’s ready. Are you?’.
