UNIQLO’s New Undercover Collection Features Giant Insects

After the successful UU line for UNIQLO, Japanese designer Jun Takahashi collaborates with the brand again creating the new Undercover collection for the upcoming fall/winter season.

The new collection offers ultramodern items designed with technology in mind featuring such UNIQLO’s innovations as Heat Tech and Ultra Light Down. The concept is ‘a new standard family’, a signature Takashi’s idea which he, a husband and father of two, continues to develop for years.

This fall/winter range includes outerwear, a selection of woven shirts, blazers, cardigans and T-shirts, as well as various pant styles. The color palette is neutral; the colors are mostly in grey, charcoal, black, navy, with some bright spots of burgundy.

UNIQLO has shot an original and puzzling photo session to present the collection. Extremely young parents and their two kids are shown interacting with giant insects, which play musical instruments in a white room. Probably, the idea is to hint at “Takahashi’s nature and music-based inspirations”, says Hypebeast.

Undercover collection will hit stores starting on August 17.
