Wendy’s Fast Food Chain to Launch in Russia

Famous fast food chain Wendy’s will set on the Russian market—at least 7 venues are to be opened countrywide till the end of 2011 and not less than 180 are expected till 2020.

The investments into the project total $40 million and will raise up to $132.

Andy Skehan, senior vice-president on external relationship at Wendy’s/Arby’s Group said he considered Russia one of the most attractive markets for development. “It’s a live market with growing economy and people fond of meat,” he added.

The first Wendy’s restaurant was launched in the US in 1969 by Dave Thomas. The brand’s name dues to one of his daughters. Now there are more then 6 000 Wendy’s restaurants in the world with more then 3 million guests daily visiting. The popularity of the chain is explained by the declared high-quality products it suggests.
