Philosophical conceptual 79-years old artist who is engaged with music, film and writing, as well as performance, painting and sculpture has designed the collection ‘Unlocking the Door to a Better Life’, which symbolizes her hopes and dreams for our planet.

“Imagine a key that unlocks the door to the forest with its secrets, to the sky with its peacefulness, to the universe with its infinity, to a future with a promise for a better life,” she said. The collection consists of an elegant oversized key on a silver chain. The Key To Open The Universe. It is available in a crystal silver shade in a limited-edition run of 1,300 pieces. Each key is engraved with Yoko Ono’s signature and its limited-edition number.

The second piece is the Key To Open The Forest, which is available in seven colors with two size options—a medium or small pendant. Both feature the Yoko Ono signature and retail for $90—$190. The collection also includes a bangle and stackable ring, and a key-motif necklace with a matching cuff.

«Collaborating with Swarovski was an attractive proposition. In 1966, I created my first glass key piece, Glass Keys to Open the Skies, which at that time was only accessible to serious art collectors. I wanted to share my latest glass key concept, for Unlocking a Door to a Better Life, with the world,» she told in an interview to the Telegraph.

The range launches on Fashion’s Night Out, September 6 and will be available in select Swarovski stores worldwide, as well as Swarovski Crystallized stores in New York City,Vienna, Wattens, Innsbruck and London.

Swarovski used an augmented reality app to promote its sunglasses collection this summer.
