While one of the biggest brands of the world is celebrating its 125th anniversary, we’ll let ourselves sneak into the past and observe how it has evolved throughout its history spanning for more than a century and how through visual communication with all kinds of consumers around the globe it has created its face to become what it is now. The second most widely understood term in the world, after “okay”, a bottle whose shape can be unmistakably recognized in the darkness or even if broken, and ultimate sponsor of Olympic games since 1896, not to mention, a symbol of the USA and undeniable ingredient in McDonald’s menu…

Back in March 2011 we announced the launch of Lipton Ice Green Tea art project uniting the renowned street artists of Australia for the purpose of coloring up the life of local communities on this continent. So, two months ago the initiative started in Sydney, where the local artist Jeremy Hession and Melbourne-based Andrew Bourke created their mural to refresh and add color to the face of the city.

On May 06 Lynx introduced a real time social hub app allowing multiple users to post messages, photos and videos of their nights out to help them do what was previously deemed almost impossible—remember what happened yesterday night when the morning comes. So far only partygoers in the United Kingdom have this opportunity as it was only a soft launch. In three weeks, according to the brand, this software will be made available to general public using the existing social media outlets owned by the brand, such as the Lynx Facebook page, Youtube channel and the Lynx Effects website.

Glenfiddich has partnered with MOJO music magazine to present New Voice award. They competition organizers are looking for the unsigned singers and songwriters in the United Kingdom. Very gifted, but unsigned. The culmination of this competition will be marked by a live event at London’s Gibson Studios in July, when the top five finalists, as selected by MOJO readers, will perform in front of music industry stars panel chaired by editor Phil Alexander.

Carlsberg has commissioned a Liverpool-based agency Uniform to carry on the work  on brand-repositioning.

As announced earlier, in April 2011, what was previously called ‘Probably, the best lager in the world’, announced its intention to reposition itself with the aim to double global sales by 2015. As part of its re-positioning campaign, the brand’s strapline has been changed to «That calls for a Carlsberg».
