Bacardi launches a new super premium gin Star of Bombay in travel retail

A new super premium addition to the Bombay Sapphire range,  Star of Bombay, takes its name from the 60-carat sapphire once discovered in Sri Lanka and given to the silent movie star Mary Pickford by her husband, Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. This gem also appears beneath the portray of Queen Victoria on the label of the original Bombay Sapphire.

Strategic positioning and packaging design were developed by Webb deVlam who have been in charge of the Bombay gins packaging for years.

The faceted blue bottle was launched in travel retail in Sydney and and premie stores in the UK in May.
