Bacardi Offers Its Team of Bacardi Bats to Help Busy Bartenders

Bacardi pursues its Bacardi Together campaign by sending out its mixologists—or Bacardi Bats—to bars, music festivals and events across the UK to help the venues’ main bar workers and serve visitors perfectly mixed drinks.

According to Harpers Wine&Spirit, the tour of Bacardi Bats will start in Glasgow and cover 300 events in 15 other cities including Manchester, London, Birmingham and Cardiff. In addition to just serving cocktails at music festivals, such as Rockness, Lovebox and The Big Chill, the team will offer an ice and cup drop service and buggy transportation throughout campsites. The bats can also come to private parties—such a service may be won via Facebook. The team of mixologists will be well prepared for any occasion: the bats will travel around with a pop up bar, glassware, extra bar staff, posters and other necessary and additional equipment.

Catherine Archer, director of marketing at Bacardi, said: «Our insights have shown that consumers face a number of barriers which prevent great nights out, and the Get Togethers will help make social occasions even better by removing the usual barriers to enjoyment like queuing, and creating an environment where friends can make the most of their night out. The Bat teams will also help reduce the pressure on a venues’ main bar, providing perfectly served drinks and increasing revenue.»

The events with participation of Bacardi Bats will be promoted via radio, outdoor and online ads. To register for a venue and benefit from a number of exclusive services—from VIP seating to various prizes—customers will need to leave their ‘likes’ on www.facebook.com/BACARDI.
