Actress Kim Cattrall and costume designer Patricia Field decided to take a little break from working on the Sex and the City 2 projects and stepped in promoting Baileys Red Bow bottle. The holiday Baileys Irish Cream bottle with a nice red bow, reminding Christmas presents wrapped in red paper, inspired the designer to create a gorgeous red dress with a huge bow to spread the festive cheer. The fabulous frock will be auctioned be off in aid of the Clothes Off Our Back Foundation to benefit children’s charities.
“My first inspirations were the red and the bow and Kim Cattrall. My project was to put all of those parts together,” Field said. “I chose an oversized bow because I was just reacting to Kim aka Samantha [Jones from “Sex and the City”] wearing a bow: If Samantha wore a bow it would have to be a bigger than life one!”
“This dress is one of the most daring garments I’ve ever worn,” Cattrall said. “Red is already a bold colour and when you add to it a towering bow you have one of the biggest fashion statements you could make and believe me I’ve made quite a few! When I saw the dress that Patricia had designed for me to launch the Baileys festive bottle, I just fell in love instantly.”
The winner of the auction www.clothesoffourback.org, which will last up to December 6, will also get Kim Cattrall’s red pumps from Patricia Field’s Highest Heel Collection by and the sketch of the red bow dress made by the designer.
