BMW is to support the 10th Art Basel Miami Beach, one of the most prestigious art show in the world that takes place from December 1st to 4.
During the art show, more than 260 leading galleries from North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa will exhibit works by more than 2,000 artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. BMW has been a committed art conisseur for a long time. Its history includes such projects as BMW Tate Live and BMW Art Collection Online.
This year, BMW Guggenheim Lab will take part in the Art Basel Miami. Additionally, the automaker will provide the VIP car service for visitors. A special VIP event celebrating the BMW Guggenheim Lab on Art Basel Miami Beach will take place on November 29. Guests will have a opportunity to know more about the initiative that is in its sixth year now. Guggenheim Lab, which is an urban think tank and public research laboratory for the exploration of innovative ideas and concepts for mega-cities, will share its plans. Currently Guggenheim Lab is operating in Berlin.
“From the very beginning, BMW has participated in Art Basel Miami Beach,” comments Dr. Uwe Ellinghaus, Head of Brand Management at BMW and BMW Group Marketing Services. “Our commitment has absolutely nothing to do with blatant logo placement. At the reception, we will offer interested visitors a platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas with experts from the BMW Guggenheim Lab in the midst of one of the world’s most significant art shows.”
BMW will also present an event entitled ‘The Future of Design & Sustainability’ to unveil its ideas on the important subject, tell more about its BMW i electric car and enjoy a cocktail evening on December 2. There also will be an exclusive press interview and discussion with BMW i design director Benoit Jacob during the event.
