Bombay Sapphire is encouraging its fans to boost their imagination ahead of the winter holidays and later have their most unconventional ideas projected to the world. The iconic alcohol drink is inviting Facebook users to tap into the competition by submitting their unique concept on the dedicated tab, launched on the official FB hub of the brand.
According to the announcement made on the page, Bombay Sapphire is going to use the best idea of those submitted by the entrants to “create a second projection that will be revealed on an iconic building at a secret location across the globe.” To become one of the contestants, you don’t have to a professional in the design industry, the brand is welcoming everything that unveils your imagination—it can be essay, illustrations, recording, video or music. The ideas must be inspiring and fresh, this is the main criterion.
The submission period is running until January 14, and after that each participating market will enlist a local Bombay Sapphire Foundation to select five finalists. The ideas will be unveiled on the FB page for public to vote and select one overall winner. The county winner is to be named on February 24 and then the finalists will enter the Global Competition where the world will vote for the vest expression of Imagination. The name of this lucky and creative person will be announced on March 16.
The grand winner will get an opportunity to collaborate with the world’s best creative designers, who will help him or her implement the idea and receive a £5,000 cash prize. The grandiose project is slated for May 2010, and the winner will become a honorable guest of the event.
