Cambell’s Soup Is Back in the UK: New Package, New Recipe

London-based Path design agency unveiled a new package for the  iconic Campbell’s Soup, which is to be relaunched across the UK later in January 2011 after 5 year’s absence. The latest design is available for the new 25  items of the renewed product range produced by Campbell’s UK in cooperation with Symington’s, British producer of dried prepackaged products. The range includes Cup Soup, Simmer Soup, Savoury Rice and Pasta & Sauce, etc.

According to the producers, the new range of products features only natural flavours and is free of any artificial colours or flavour additives.

Back in 2006, Campbell’s was acquired by Premier Foods that sold the tinned condensed soup until March 2008, until its licence to use the brand name expired. Afterwards, it rebranded Campbell’s Condensed Soup as Batchelor’s Condensed Soup, while the recipe remained unchanged.

So, this month Campbell’s soup is coming back into British grocery stores in a new package and based on an all-new recipe. According to the official press release presented by Path, «Campbell’s and their partners Symington’s have decided to raise the bar in cup soups and meal accompaniments. The new range of products contain natural flavours as well as no artificial colours or preservatives and are remarkably thick and luxurious in flavour. The branding and pack design has been developed to communicate this. «
