Nike is here again to amaze and impress with its new art-shoes. The new super limited edition comes out as a collaboration of Jason Murphy, Art Director at Nike, and Hydro74 (M. Smith), an Orlando-based designer. The great shoes were developed specially for LaDainian Tomlinson, a famous American football running back, who plays for the New York Jets (NFL).
You’ve got to love Noma Bar. A recent poster for the Victoria and Albert Museum’s family fun activities caught my eye. As a dad I’m always interested in things to entertain the kids without destroying the family finances, and as a designer I’m interested in ways to involve my girls in creative pursuits, although given the contrary nature of children they will probably want to become accountants to spite me and my illustrator wife.
On July 2, Unilever published its sustainable paper and board packaging sourcing policy as part of its commitment to double the size of the business while reducing its environmental impact. The policy outlines the company’s ambitious goal to work with its suppliers to source 75 per cent of its paper and board packaging from sustainably managed forests or from recycled material by 2015, rising to 100 per cent by 2020.

Heineken UK has launched a new national multi-media campaign, “Good Call”, for Foster’s beer revolving around the idea that life is good no matter happens. To promote positive thinking, the Adam & Eve agency created three new TV ads and Video on Demand (VOD), digital, social media and outdoor ambient materials featuring Brad and Dan, two Australian guys, who are enjoying their life on the beach and giving tips to people who call them.
Electrolux wanted a unique and powerful tool to show all the qualities in the newest Ergorapido vaccum and the certainly got that. The company worked with GreatWorks and Swedish artist Tobias Allanson to illustrate all of the great features of the machine and the result was a working piece of art made from one of the vaccums.
