Heineken Foster’s Goes Optimistic with «Good Calls»

Heineken UK has launched a new national multi-media campaign, “Good Call”, for Foster’s beer revolving around the idea that life is good no matter happens. To promote positive thinking, the Adam & Eve agency created three new TV ads and Video on Demand (VOD), digital, social media and outdoor ambient materials featuring Brad and Dan, two Australian guys, who are enjoying their life on the beach and giving tips to people who call them.

The two Aussies are always relaxed and optimistic about life and, sitting in a beach house, they are always ready to help other characters develop this lighthearted attitude to various tough situations. Being iconic representatives of their nation, the duo (in their ‘everything’s gonna be alright’ style) tell how to cope with big problems.

«We know that Foster’s drinkers aspire to the Aussie, ‘No Worries’ attitude to life and the new campaign brings it to life perfectly – in a simple, humorous way. This is a return to classic Foster’s brand advertising,» stated Gayle Harrison, Marketing Manager at Foster’s, Heineken UK.

The first ad «Girlfriend’s Mom» is about Ben who calls Brad and Dan and asks them if his girlfriend will be like her mother over some time. The answer seems to be quite predictable, but they guys don’t want to drive the caller into depression and tell him just to «stop thinking about the future and start enjoying the now
