Coca-Cola Is Launching a Cookery Book in Late September

Coca-Cola has created a premium limited edition recipe book to celebrate its rich heritage with food and family occasions over the last century, called “When You Entertain.” This will complement a wider volume driving campaign, launched in April 2010 and aimed at bringing families and friends together for a more enjoyable meal time that has been live since.

The coffee table style book has been created in partnership with a cross section of four highly credible food personalities and chefs. Led by Michelin star chef Tom Aikens, the book also features top tips and recipes from famous foody cheese enthusiast and ex Blur bassist Alex James, Celebrity Masterchef winner Liz McClarnon (2008) and respected food blogger, Julia Parsons.  Each partner chose dishes that evoked memories of eating with their family and friends.

Edited by lifestyle journalist and Sunday Times Style editor, Tiffanie Darke; the book takes a modern approach to bringing families and friends together at meal times, focusing on occasions including Saturday Night with friends, Weekend Lunch and Brunch to Family Mealtime. The book also features iconic heritage imagery of Coca-Cola paired with food through the ages, juxtaposed with mouth-watering recipe images.

Romancing Coca-Cola iconic heritage, “When you Entertain” was inspired by a book the brand created in 1932 with the legendary American hostess Ida Bailey Allen called “When You Entertain, What to Do and How” that showcased food as a moment when people celebrated coming together. Coca-Cola will be partnering exclusively with Harvey Nichols to distribute the limited edition recipe book, which will be available at stores across the UK and online, from late September 2010.
