To support the upcoming movie Battleship, Coke Zero has rolled out a free online game called Battle for Everything. Initially, the movie was inspired by a game, so Coke used the idea to make a digital circle.

To create the strategic game, Coke Zero teamed up with B-Reel digital production company. The storyline of the game is inspired by the film, it also brings some actual footage and plot points. And, of course, gamers can compare their scores with friends on Facebook.
To unlock new levels in the game, players can buy Coca-Cola products and collect ‘My Coke Rewards’ codes printed on the package. Then they get access to the upgrades. My Coke Rewards points can be found on 12-, 16- and 20-ounce bottles, fridge packs and 24-packs of Coke Zero and other Coca-Cola products. Finishing each level, they also have a chance to win instant prizes such as movie and concert tickets as well as enter a sweepstakes for more valuable prizes including a vacation on a sea vessel.
PepsiCo’s Mountain Dew also uses a film premiere to promote the brand. It will launch ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ campaign soon that will include limited edition cans and a digital experience for fans.
